Using international characters
Team - any suggestions on how to get the Spanish special characters with the ALT key since my laptop keyboard does not have a numbers keypad? Thanks. - Jose
Wow, Pam - that is very cool. Thanks!
You're welcome! Hope it helped. I forgot to mention that for the "ñ" you push shift and " ~ " and then the "n".
You could try changing your keyboard to the international mode, than you could just preface whatever vowel you wanted accented with the apostrophe key. It's actually a lot easier than typing in each code. You're going to go to the Control Panel and click on "Date, Time, Language and Regional Options", then go to "Regional and Language Options" and click on the "Languages" tab. Click "Details" and then the "add" button once the other box pops up. Click English (United States) for the input language, and right underneath there is a box that says "Keyboard layout/IME" check the box. In the given options choose "United States International", then push "OK". Then it will take you back to the previous box that said "details"...click "Apply". A little keyboard icon will appear in your taskbar, and it will give you the option of having the "English (United States)" keyboard, or "United States - International" keyboard. Now all you have to do is precede the vowel with the apostrophe key! Voila! =) --Pami
